This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and continuous process improvement to meet organizational goals and compliance standards. The manager will serve as a key liaison between senior leadership and department staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. They will also be accountable for monitoring performance metrics, managing budgets, and implementing policies that support departmental and organizational objectives. Ultimately, the CHAP Department Manager 1 plays a critical role in driving the success and growth of the department while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.CHAP leadership experience can be considered in lieu of degree.Minimum of 5 years of experience in department management or a similar leadership role.Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.Strong knowledge of operational best practices and compliance standards relevant to the CHAP department.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline.Experience working within healthcare or regulatory environments.Familiarity with CHAP accreditation standards and processes.Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives.Proficiency with project management tools and data analysis software.Responsibilities:Lead and manage daily operations of the CHAP department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.Develop and implement strategic plans to improve departmental efficiency, service quality, and employee engagement.Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management to optimize department performance.Monitor key performance indicators and prepare regular reports for senior leadership to inform decision-making.Foster a positive work environment by providing coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and resolve operational challenges.Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards within the department.Skills:The CHAP Department Manager 1 utilizes leadership and communication skills daily to guide and motivate their team, ensuring clear understanding of goals and expectations. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting performance data and making informed decisions to enhance department operations. Budget management and resource allocation skills are applied to maintain financial health and operational efficiency. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards ensures that all departmental activities meet required guidelines, reducing risk and maintaining accreditation. Additionally, problem-solving and project management skills enable the manager to address challenges proactively and implement improvements that support organizational success.
