R & H Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in our success by preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects while working closely with project managers, vendors, and customers. What You’ll Do Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Develop complete project bids, proposals, and budgets. Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions. Collaborate with project managers, operations, and field teams during preconstruction. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed. Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information. Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted on schedule. What We’re Looking For Experience estimating commercial and/or residential HVAC projects. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and installation methods. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Trimble, FastEST, QuoteSoft, or similar is a plus). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of HVAC estimating experience. Field experience in HVAC installation or service is a plus. Knowledge of local building codes and mechanical systems. Experience with design-build and negotiated projects. Why Join R & H Mechanical?
