University of Nevada, RenoThe University of Nevada, Reno is seeking applications for an Accountant to join the Advancement Financial Team, supporting the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation's financial operations. This role performs professional accounting work spanning general ledger accounting, endowment and investment accounting, cash management, gift and pledge accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.The Accountant exercises independent judgment in researching accounting issues, preparing analyses, and recommending solutions, while ensuring compliance with Foundation policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applicable IRS requirements, and University and NSHE guidelines. This position works collaboratively with Advancement, University departments, donors, investment managers, banking partners, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
