Volt is immediately hiring Machinist in Chillicothe, IL.

As a  Machinist you will:

Primary Responsibilities

• This position requires several years’ experience in a shop floor environment performing saw cutting, grinding, polishing and other machinist work.
• The machinist will work on a team that provides machining support to a metallurgical testing laboratory.
• The machinist is required to follow written instructions and be able to read blueprints.
• The machinist must pay attention to detail and be quality oriented and equipment used to perform machinist job functions include abrasive cut-off saws, surface grinders, lathes, reciprocating mill, and large band saws.
• The machinist must be capable of communicating with all levels of employees found in a professional lab environment, including supervisors and company engineers.
• The machinist must be team oriented, self-motivated and be flexible to working weekends and overtime when needed.

This is a Full Time, Long-Term opportunity

Shift: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Pay Rate: $21- $28 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
