Superintendent - Higher Education

We are partnering with a well-established and nationally recognized leader in demolition and construction services to recruit an experienced Construction Superintendent for its growing Raleigh, NC team. You must have worked on a higher education project and projects in the region of $20M in value. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, serving as the primary field contact for the project team. Plan, schedule, and oversee daily construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards while proactively managing scope changes. Promote and enforce safety and environmental compliance, maintaining a strong safety-first culture across the job site. Facilitate regular progress meetings with design teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), inspection records, and other required documentation. Oversee self-performed work to ensure production goals, budgets, and project schedules are achieved. Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Manage punch list completion and support successful project closeout. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times. Qualifications OSHA 30 and CPR certifications required. Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent with a mid- to large-sized commercial general contractor. 5–8 years of overall construction industry experience. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Proficiency with construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and best practices.li> Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Professional, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
