Job Description

• Machine custom parts from one to many from all types of materials.
• Program and operate 3-axis and 4-axis machining centers
• Program and operate 2-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis turning centers
• Program and operate horizontal machining centers
• Program and operate automatic surface grinders, ID/OD grinders, and Wire EDM.
• Operate manual machinery: saws, lathe, surface grinder, drill press, radial arm drill press, and pneumatic tappers
• Operate CMM, optical comparator, and other inspection equipment.
• Assembly work of stamping dies and CNC fixtures (training provided).
• Deburr, clean, inspect completed parts with an appreciation to high quality and cosmetics.
• Training provided where necessary.

Skill set for experienced candidates

• Must be able to interpret drawings, perform your own setups, and select the proper cutting tools.
• Must be able to hold general and precision tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
• Must be knowledgeable of speeds and feed rates for machining a variety of material.
• Must have an impeccable work ethic and be able to maintain a reasonable daily pace.
• Must be able to multitask, using your time efficiently on a regular basis.
• Communication and respectful of others in a team environment.
• Focused and not tethered to a cell phone.

Skill set for entry level candidates

• Dedicated to building a career as a machinist or tool and die maker.
• Good communication skills.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Capable of working 40 hours per week on your feet.
• Capable of comprehending instructions, taking notes, and retaining information.
• Good work ethic and be able to maintain a reasonable daily pace.
• Focused and not tethered to a cell phone.
• Respectful of others in a team environment.

Our company has a proud history of stable employment with zero economic layoffs. We operate a clean and organized facility. We provide a respectful and healthy work atmosphere. We use SolidWorks and AutoCad for tool designs and creating solid models. Machinists program at the machine (on conversational controls), or offline using Gibbs CAM and Fusion 360 CAM. We view each new hire as a long-term commitment. Our diverse customer base is comprised of a variety of local and national manufacturers that expect precise products produced by craftsman. Product does not leave our facility without being inspected for dimensional and cosmetic characteristics. We operate in a dynamic environment where we continuously learn and adjust.
