Real Estate Analyst - Multifamily

We are seeking an Underwriting Analyst to join a growing real estate investment team focused on multifamily assets in the Chicago market this Q1 2027!

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, underwriting, investment banking, or a related field
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Understanding of real estate valuation, cash flow analysis, and investment returns
Familiarity with multifamily real estate and/or the Chicago market preferred
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced investment environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite multifamily acquisition opportunities, including detailed property-level financial models
Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, capital expenditures, financing assumptions, and market data
Build and maintain cash flow models, return analyses, and sensitivity scenarios
Conduct market and comparable property research to support investment decisions
Assist with due diligence and evaluation of prospective acquisitions
Prepare investment materials, underwriting summaries, and presentations for internal review
Track and evaluate investment assumptions throughout the acquisition process
Collaborate with senior team members and external partners including brokers, lenders, property managers, and other advisors
