Quality Control Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join a growing engineering and manufacturing organization operating within the power generation industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Quality leader to take ownership of quality operations across a diverse manufacturing environment, supporting the production of complex mechanical components, industrial equipment and large-scale engineered assemblies. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and elevating the Quality function, driving continuous improvement, strengthening manufacturing processes and ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. We are particularly interested in individuals who have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities within a manufacturing environment and have experience supporting new-make manufacturing, complex mechanical assemblies and industrial equipment packaging. Experience within gas turbines, rotating equipment or power generation would be highly advantageous; however, we are equally interested in exceptional Quality leaders from other complex manufacturing environments. The Quality Control Manager's Responsibilities Will Include: Lead, mentor and develop the Quality Control team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence. Oversee quality operations across new-make manufacturing, component production, fabrication and equipment assembly. Establish, implement and continuously improve quality control processes, procedures and inspection standards. Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Operations leadership to identify quality concerns, resolve production challenges and improve overall product quality. Manage nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Drive improvements in first-pass yield, scrap reduction, rework, inspection efficiency and overall manufacturing quality. Oversee quality activities throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from incoming materials and component inspection through final assembly and product acceptance. Support quality requirements for complex mechanical equipment and integrated industrial packages. Develop and monitor quality performance metrics, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and improve operational performance. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications and internal quality requirements. Build effective relationships across departments, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the manufacturing process without compromising operational efficiency. The Quality Control Manager's Qualifications Will Be: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Proven experience in a Quality Management or Quality Control leadership position within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and elevate Quality teams, with tangible examples of driving organizational and operational improvements. Strong experience in new-make manufacturing, ideally involving complex mechanical components, precision machining, fabrication or industrial equipment. Experience supporting equipment assembly, packaging or integrated mechanical systems would be highly advantageous. Background in gas turbines, rotating equipment, power generation, aerospace manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment would be beneficial. Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection processes, root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Experience implementing and improving quality processes within a growing or evolving manufacturing environment. Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations teams to resolve complex quality challenges. Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
