About the Role

Talent Elite Partners has been retained to find a Relationship Manager for an Independent Insurance Advisory firm.

This role offers a competitive base salary plus performance bonus. Your duties include serving as a primary liaison between the firm and its clients, financial advisors, and strategic partners. You will manage key relationships, support business development, and deliver life insurance solutions aligned with client needs and business objectives.

Working closely with the executive team and internal departments, you will support strategic account management, case design, product analysis, and new business initiatives. This position requires strong life insurance industry knowledge, relationship management experience, and the ability to work effectively with sophisticated clients and financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, financial advisors, and strategic partners.
• Identify and support new business and relationship development opportunities.
• Oversee opportunities, case activity, and workflow to ensure timely, accurate execution.
• Conduct carrier and product due diligence to support appropriate insurance solutions.
• Manage life insurance case design, illustrations, proposals, and product analysis.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other internal teams throughout case development and new business placement.
• Maintain accurate client, advisor, and opportunity information in CRM and other business systems.
• Provide executive leadership with business updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Stay current on advanced life insurance strategies, including solutions for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
• Represent the firm’s capabilities and services to clients, financial professionals, carriers, and strategic partners.
• Participate in industry meetings, training, and professional development programs.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with applicable privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
• Support strategic initiatives and special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Licensing

• Minimum of five years of experience in the life insurance industry, with an emphasis on advanced markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, mathematics, actuarial science, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Must hold and maintain all insurance licenses and securities registrations required for the position, including Series 6, Series 63, Life and health license.
• Must be appropriately licensed and registered to solicit and sell variable insurance products.
• Advanced knowledge of life insurance products, concepts, and planning strategies.
• Experience working directly with clients, financial advisors, carriers, and other industry professionals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, life insurance illustration software, and other relevant business systems.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex information to clients, financial professionals, strategic partners, and management.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, including managing responsibilities beyond regular business hours when necessary.
• In-depth knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting guidelines, carrier requirements, securities and insurance regulations, and applicable compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and life insurance illustration software, with the ability to analyze product performance and develop informed, tailored solutions.
• Proven relationship management skills and a consultative approach to understanding client and advisor needs and building long-term trust and loyalty.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate financial information, insurance needs, risk profiles, product structures, and policy terms.
• Experience managing databases, spreadsheets, documentation, and confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.
• Sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current on industry trends, products, regulatory developments, and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
