Senior Accountant

You’ll be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including preparing and analyzing financial reports and contributing to cost accounting activities. Essential Responsibilities Closing and Reconciliation Duties (65%) Prepare journal entries related to month‑end close duties. Review and analyze assigned general ledger account balances, verify accuracy, and make recommendations for changes. Maintain and reconcile reports of blood and blood components. Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform analysis of unusual or exceptional items and make recommendations for addressing them. Prepare monthly activity, executive, and department analysis reports. Financial Duties (30%) Prepare annual audit schedules, analyze discrepancies, and prepare necessary corrective journal entries. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget. Perform financial analysis. Review costing of products and services. Additional Duties (5%) Lead the annual Blood Inventory count process. Offer direction and support to staff regarding accounting procedures. Complete additional responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. Experience Three years’ related experience in all areas of accounting. Proficiency in ERP systems. Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Travel: None Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00am‑5:00pm Must be available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be able to work additional hours as necessary, based on business needs and as determined by management. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as determined by supervisor to meet business needs.
