CT Scan Technologist-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center-Full Time: Fri, Sat, Sun 7a-8p

Job Description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Principal accountabilities include: interpreting CT protocols and correctly positioning the patient for the exam, operating CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards, evaluating CT scans for technical quality, utilizing EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation, preparing and administering contrast material using the power injector, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology, and licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology. Preferred: CT Certification.
