Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Virginia Occupational Therapy license
• Experience or strong interest in working within school environments
• Comfort and skill in evaluating the needs of students across K-12 grade levels
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and educational documentation
• Strong communication skills with educators, families, and other service providers
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible per diem schedule

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete approximately 5-10 student evaluations annually, supporting multidisciplinary teams with professional recommendations
• Assess students for motor skills, sensory processing, adaptive behaviors, and school-related activities of daily living
• Develop clear, actionable evaluation reports to guide IEP planning and interventions
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for school staff regarding supporting student access and participation
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to implement effective strategies for students’ success in classroom settings
• Participate in meetings and discussions related to student progress and planning for those with diverse physical and learning needs
