Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating a smooth and friendly environment during patient visits, supporting the dermatologist in the room and ensuring efficient interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the dermatologist during patient visits and document vital information.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist and provide post-operative instructions to patients.
• Perform duties such as drawing blood and suture removal.
• Clean and stock exam rooms to maintain a sterile environment.
• Schedule patient appointments efficiently to optimize clinic operations.

Essential Skills

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in surgical, dermatology, or urgent care settings is preferred.
• Customer service skills, especially in fast-paced healthcare environments.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Environment

The role operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 am to 3:30 pm in a fast-paced environment that handles approximately 65 patients per day. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vienna, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
