Sailrite is looking for a knowledgeable and personable Marine & Upholstery Product Specialist / On-Air Talent to bring marine fabrication, upholstery, sewing, and DIY projects to life on camera.  In this hands-on role, you’ll design and build projects from start to finish while demonstrating techniques, explaining products, and teaching viewers how they can tackle their own projects with confidence. You’ll also become a recognizable face and voice of our brand across YouTube and other digital platforms. This is a great opportunity for someone who combines real-world fabrication skills with a natural ability to teach and connect with people. You don’t need to be a polished TV personality—we’re looking for someone authentic, approachable, knowledgeable, and comfortable letting their personality shine on camera.

This is a full-time, on-site position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Responsibilities: 

•    Prototype, build and complete marine, upholstery and sewing projects for high-quality instructional, educational and product-focused videos.

•    Demonstrate projects from start to finish while clearly explaining techniques, tools, materials and problem-solving decisions along the way.

•    Develop scripts, outlines and talking points that make technical information understandable and engaging for viewers of varying skill levels.

•    Collaborate on all stages of content development, including project selection, concept development, storyboarding, scripting and video planning.

•    Showcase marine fabrication and upholstery techniques including measuring, patterning, cutting, sewing, fitting, installation and finishing.

•    Demonstrate the proper use of sewing machines, hand tools, fabrication tools, hardware and other products used throughout marine and upholstery projects.

•    Present Sailrite products naturally within projects while explaining their purpose, benefits and proper use.

•    Deliver confident, authentic and engaging on-camera presentations that connect with viewers and reflect the Sailrite brand.

•    Bring personality, enthusiasm and individual expertise to videos while maintaining a professional and approachable teaching style.

•    Help identify common project challenges and demonstrate practical solutions that viewers can apply to their own work.

•    Stay informed about trends, techniques, materials, tools and projects within the marine, upholstery and DIY industries.

•    Generate and contribute ideas for instructional videos, product demonstrations, educational content and other digital media.

•    Work closely with Marketing, Video, Product Development and other departments to ensure content is accurate, useful and aligned with company goals.

•    Follow the Sailrite Style Guide and established content standards to maintain brand consistency.

•    Assist with other Marketing Department projects as needed.

Job Qualifications

•    Hands-on experience in marine fabrication, upholstery, sewing or a closely related trade.

•    Demonstrated ability to complete a variety of fabrication, upholstery or sewing projects.

•    Knowledge of commonly used fabrics, materials, hardware, tools and equipment within marine and upholstery applications.

•    Experience using industrial or heavy-duty sewing machines is preferred.

•    Strong understanding of project planning, measuring, patterning, cutting, sewing, assembly and installation techniques.

•    Comfortable explaining technical processes in a clear and approachable way.

•    Previous experience presenting, teaching, training or appearing on camera is preferred but not required for a candidate with strong communication skills and personality.

•    Experience creating digital or social media content is a plus.

•    Experience with video production or editing software is a plus but not required.
