Ultra Maritime

Your work here has global impact. From developing sonar and radar systems to advancing unmanned and undersea platforms, our technologies empower the U.S. Navy and allied forces to operate in some of the world's most complex environments.

As the maritime and underwater battlespace evolves, we continue to push boundaries-driven by innovation, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Join us as we shape the future of naval warfare-safeguarding the seas and strengthening navies worldwide.

Nationality Requirements

Due to the nature of the programs we support, certain roles may require candidates to meet U.S. nationality requirements and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Position Summary

Lead the Operation. Develop the Team. Support the Mission.

At Ultra Maritime, the work we do supports the people who operate at sea and helps protect lives and strengthen national security. As a Senior Production Manager, you'll lead multiple production areas and play a critical role in ensuring we deliver high-quality, mission-critical products safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This is an opportunity to shape the operation not simply manage it. You'll set operational strategy, develop leaders, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, drive continuous improvement, and partner across the organization to deliver results.
Job Description

What You'll Do
  • Lead multiple production areas with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align production performance with business and program objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives that improve quality, capacity, flow, and efficiency.
  • Establish technical and operational standards and identify opportunities to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, processes, and technology.
  • Build and develop a strong leadership organization through coaching, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Partner across Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other functions to resolve challenges and achieve shared goals.
  • Use KPIs, statistical process data, and tiered management systems to identify trends, drive accountability, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead change management efforts and transformation initiatives aligned with evolving business and customer requirements.
  • Support annual budgeting, resource and capacity planning, and investment decisions across the operation.
  • Proactively communicate risks, opportunities, and performance to senior stakeholders while building strong relationships across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment.
  • 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership through other leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex manufacturing operations and multiple production areas.
  • Strong knowledge of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and executive presence skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
Why Ultra Maritime?

You'll lead teams whose work has a purpose beyond the factory floor. Every improvement you make, every leader you develop, and every product your team delivers contributes to a mission that matters.

If you're ready to lead a complex operation, develop exceptional people, and help shape the future of manufacturing at Ultra Maritime, we want to hear from you.
