Lead Engineering Specialist

Job Title: Senior Project EngineerLocation: Fayetteville, NCSalary: $100K-130K plus bonusJob Summary of the Senior Project Engineer: The Senior Project Engineer is a pivotal member of the Engineering team. Responsibilities include data analysis, creating innovative implementation strategies to enhance production efficiency, and minimizing costs. Leading a team on medium to large projects or overseeing a significant aspect of a complex initiative.Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer:· Create engineering designs, develop material specifications, and estimate project costs.· Perform feasibility studies and research to support design decisions. · Ensure designs meet necessary standards and codes, verify field work, and generate as-built drawings. · Review engineering submissions for accuracy and compliance, coordinate project activities with vendors, contractors, and plant teams, and collaborate with management and engineering teams on implementation.· Provide guidance to vendors and contractors on layout planning and utility requirements.· Review consultant work, suggest modifications as necessary, and maintain documentation such as manuals, drawings, specs, and vendor contacts.· Conduct planning and operational reviews during pre-project phases, define project scope, prepare proposals, and evaluate bids.· Report regularly to management, assist with contract administration, prepare project documents, and oversee installations to ensure compliance with specifications, budgets, and timelines.· Manage project budgets to meet financial objectives.Education & Experience Requirements of Senior Project Engineer:· Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.· Familiarity with engineering principles and techniques specific to food processing and the meat industry is a plus.· Ability to apply sound engineering principles to design and operational challenges.· Proficiency in project management, contract administration, and interpretation of national codes and standards is essential. Experience managing large-scale projects with significant scopes is desirable.· Proficient in engineering economics and AutoCAD.· Enjoys collaborative environments and is comfortable traveling to different locations (up to 50% of the time).· Demonstrate respectfulness, approachability, and teamwork while fostering positive working relationships and a supportive work environment.· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and adaptability skills.· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while collaborating effectively with others.· Familiarity with engineering principles and techniques specific to food processing and the meat industry, preferred.View phone number on click.appcast.io & View phone number on click.appcast.io?
