Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is partnering with a reputable and growing law firm in Miami seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and litigation teams
• Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials
• Manage court filings in both state and federal courts, including e-filing procedures
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
• Coordinate and manage case files, deadlines, and docketing requirements
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors professionally
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, binders, and case materials
• Handle billing, expense reports, and time entry as needed
• Perform additional administrative duties to support the litigation department

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience within a law firm environment
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced practice
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience with legal management and document management systems preferred
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred Experience

• Commercial litigation experience preferred
• Trial preparation experience is a plus
• Familiarity with billing software and litigation support platforms preferred
