Quality Inspector
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour
Shift: First Shift – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm - Monday through Friday Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems as well as supporting continuous improvement across our production process. Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, standards, and SOPs for inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials and finished products to guarantee compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Testing & Evaluation: Conduct routine and non-routine analyses and inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, ensuring all items strictly adhere to requirements and specifications.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document test procedures, results, and findings – including stability and formulation studies – and prepare clear investigation reports and summaries of abnormalities.
• Recommendation & Process Improvement: Recommend corrective actions and develop or update inspection and testing methodologies as needed to ensure consistent product quality.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to quality assurance and engineering departments, including performing inspections at different stages of production and guiding the resolution of quality issues.

Daily Activities & Examples

• Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications, including customer and vendor requirements, and perform measurements using fractions, decimals, trigonometry, and various measurement tools.
• Operate mechanical and electrical instruments such as magnifiers, calipers, micrometers, snap gauges, and specialized fixtures; ensure equipment calibration is up to standard.
• Develop alternative quality assurance methods and identify potential process variables.
• Conduct “first-piece” inspections and authorize the start of production.
• Sort and mark defective materials for repair, sometimes requiring close tolerance measurement and keen judgement.
