RIVA Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support the daily operations of our HR function. As part of a small but mighty People & Culture team, this individual will play a key role across multiple HR disciplines—including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and talent development—ensuring smooth processes and a positive employee experience. This position will work onsite in Reston, VA with flexibility for remote work and periodic in-office responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Include: Benefits, Reporting & Compliance Administer employee benefit programs, including processing enrollments, changes, and terminations for health, welfare, and retirement plans. Reconcile benefits data to ensure alignment with carrier records/invoices and resolve discrepancies. Manage employee leave requests in compliance with policies and labor laws. Support annual open enrollment events by scheduling education sessions, preparing materials, and collecting data for benefit recommendations. Compile and submit federal and state reporting (e.g., EEO, AAP, ACA) and support ad hoc reporting needs. Onboarding Collect and review new hire documentation for compliance and completion. Coordinate and deliver monthly orientation sessions in partnership with corporate departments to onboard new employees. Ensure accurate and timely benefits communication to new hires, including packet preparation and vendor coordination. Employment Records & Support Respond to employment verification requests in accordance with legal/privacy standards. Prepare offboarding documentation and benefits communications for separating employees. Maintain up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, agreements, promotions, and compliance documentation. Manage internal resources such as the job description library, employee handbook, and other HR documentation. Talent Management & Development Support planning and execution of talent development initiatives, including communications, scheduling, tracking, and logistics. Assist in preparing and delivering performance management programs, providing system support, sending reminders, and collecting feedback. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience in a corporate environment, with at least 3 years in a human resources role. Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines such as onboarding, compliance, benefits, and learning and development. Strong organizational and task-tracking skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
