Job Opportunity Location South Beach, FL (Please note: housing must be arranged prior to application.) Position Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a temporary to permanent position. Candidates must be willing to transition to a permanent role after the contract concludes. It is essential to be located within 50 miles of South Beach, FL, to be considered for this opportunity. Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical and administrative tasks to support healthcare providers.
- Draw blood and conduct other laboratory procedures as required.
- Provide front and back office customer service duties, ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
- Assist providers with patient care and administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate support as needed.
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- Extended hours may include Wednesday or Thursday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM; Saturdays: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (if scheduled, no Friday shift before Saturday).
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (first-time travelers are welcome).
- BLS certification required.
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is also required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) charting is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Phlebotomy proficiency, including venipuncture and fingerstick procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in patient scheduling, insurance verification, and preparing authorization forms.
- Ability to obtain vital signs and perform urine analyses (UA/Clean Catch, Urine Dipstick).
- Knowledge of infection control and safety standards in a clinical setting.
