This role focuses on MRI and involves working in a variety of settings including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient units. Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist

• Examine requests and verify orders on each patient; consult with a Radiologist as needed.
• Identify and assist patients using two identifiers, providing explanations of procedures.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain a complete medical history.
• Manage exams from start to completion, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Evaluate image quality and consult with a Radiologist if needed.
• Perform basic patient care and initiate life support measures when necessary.
• Conduct invasive procedures following infection control policies.

Requirements of the MRI Technologist

• ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
