Sr. Manager - Procurement - Laboratory Chemicals Division

Senior Manager of Procurement for the Laboratory Chemicals Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Develop global category strategies, optimize supplier relationships, and lead cross-functional procurement teams to reduce total cost of ownership. Office-based position in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Negotiate global agreements and manage supplier relationships to optimize spend
- Coach and mentor procurement professionals within the department
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement
- Manage stakeholder relationships across functions and communicate at executive level
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 6 years procurement experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years in large matrix organizations
- 7+ years category management experience with expertise in assigned categories
- 3+ years leading and developing procurement teams
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and AQSCIR methodology
- Professional certifications preferred: CPSM, CPIM, PMP or equivalent
- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device
- Proficiency with eSourcing tools, spend analytics, and procurement systems
Compensation: $130,000–$173,300 base
