Structural Welder

Structural Welder We are seeking an experienced Structural Welder to join our fabrication team. This role is critical to our production schedule, particularly in the manufacturing of meter houses using steel siding/R-Panel construction. The ideal candidate is a skilled, self-sufficient welder and fabricator who can read prints, work independently, and troubleshoot issues as they arise on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints/prints and accurately lay out all required specifications Cut, prep, and fit all materials required for assigned jobs Weld out fitted materials to complete finished assemblies Make real-time adjustments to fabrication processes as issues or discrepancies arise Work with steel siding and R-Panel materials in the construction of meter houses Maintain quality and consistency across all welds and fabricated components Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively when problems come up in fabrication Required Qualifications Ability to read and layout from prints/blueprints, translating specs accurately to material Must be able to pass a 3G Plate Test (MIG/Flux Combo Weld on 3/4" plate, without run-off tabs) Proven ability to cut, prep, fit, and weld materials independently from start to finish Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and adapt during fabrication Comfortable making adjustments on the fly to meet spec and quality requirements Prior experience working with steel siding/R-Panel systems Experience in meter house fabrication or similar structural/sheet metal production environments Willingness and initiative to learn and excel in R-Panel processes if not already experienced Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
