Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Structural MIG Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Broken Arrow. This position focuses on welding and assembling skid-mounted structures used in industrial applications. Candidates must be able to produce high-quality structural welds while working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has strong MIG and Flux Core welding experience, can read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing quality work that meets strict safety and production standards.

Required Experience & Skills
• Previous structural MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding experience required
• Ability to successfully pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
• Experience using tape measures, framing squares, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work extended production hours

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding on carbon steel and structural components
• Weld and assemble skid-mounted structures according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding procedures
• Assist with fitting, alignment, and mechanical assembly of skid units
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and fit-up accuracy
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with company standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and production requirements

Weld Test Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete:
• 3G MIG / Flux Core Weld Test

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience fabricating skid-mounted equipment or heavy structural assemblies
• Experience working in industrial manufacturing or oil and gas fabrication environments
• Knowledge of AWS structural welding standards
• Overhead crane or forklift experience is a plus

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment while wearing required PPE
• Comfortable working around heavy steel, welding fumes, sparks, heat, and industrial machinery
