Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Martinsville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM; Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides high-quality care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the delivery of optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients.
• Administer medications and provide treatments according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Manage emergencies and respond promptly to urgent patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS or ENPC.
