Project Manager (DoD / Government Programs)At Applied Technology Solutions (ATS), our Project Managers lead the delivery of mission-critical programs that matter.In this role, you will own programs end-to-end—driving performance across cost, schedule, and technical execution—while building strong, trusted relationships with customers in DoD and government environments.You won't just manage timelines, you'll lead teams, solve complex problems, and deliver results that have real-world impact.What You'll DoOwn full program execution across cost, schedule, and technical performance (CST)Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance, etc.) to deliver high-impact solutionsBuild and manage program plans, schedules, and budgets, including forecasting and resource planningServe as the primary customer interface, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities for growthEnsure alignment with contract scope, managing changes through formal change control processesProactively identify and manage risks and opportunities, driving mitigation and resolutionDeliver clear, actionable program reporting to leadership and customersEnsure compliance with ATS processes, quality standards, and government requirementsManage subcontractors and external partners when applicableWhat We're Looking ForExperience managing programs in DoD or government contracting environmentsProven ability to deliver across cost, schedule, and technical baselinesStrong leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional teamsAbility to operate in fast-paced, high-accountability environmentsExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsA proactive, ownership-driven mindsetBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience8+ years of program or project management experienceExperience with government contracts, compliance, and reporting structuresActive Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar frameworksBackground in engineering, defense systems, or technical programsExperience managing subcontractors or multi-partner programsDirect experience with hypersonics, reentry vehicles, or similar flight vehicle systemsWhy ATSWork on mission-driven programs that support national security and critical operationsJoin a team that values ownership, trust, and executionHave real decision-making authority and impactGrow your career in a high-performance, low-bureaucracy environmentExport Control Regulations:Applicants for employment at ATS must be a U.S. citizen or national.Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
