What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in the stepdown and med-surg units
• Monitor cardiac patients using telemetry systems and ensure accurate documentation
• Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, and Neo (manager approval required for some skills)
• Support patient care activities including chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and dialysis (preferred)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalists
• Follow hospital protocols for safety, documentation, and patient monitoring
• Assist in emergency situations and coordinate patient transfers when necessary

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years of relevant acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Strong clinical skills including telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and patient assessment

• Experience with chest tubes, trachs, peritoneal dialysis, and CSF drains
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
• Previous stepdown or med-surg experience
