What You'll Do

• Provide advanced clinical care to adult surgical and medical ICU patients, including cardiac, neuro, and general surgery cases.
• Manage ventilator support, assist with intubation/extubation, and handle vasoactive drip management.
• Monitor and maintain arterial lines, EVD drains, and other critical equipment.
• Administer IV medications, perform tube feedings, and manage patient diagnostics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including charge RNs, PICC teams, RT, and hospitalists.
• Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all unit protocols and safety standards.

What You Need

• Required:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
  • At least 2 years of ICU experience in adult care
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Preferred:
  • Experience with stroke, ventilator management, and complex ICU procedures
  • Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
