Position Overview Adventist HealthCare Home Health is hiring a Social Worker MSW for the Southern Maryland Territory and Silver Spring Territory. Qualified candidates may receive up to a $2,500 sign‑on bonus. This role embraces the mission to extend God’s care through physical, mental and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Provide quality therapeutic care appropriate to the age, diagnoses, developmental state, and mental status of assigned clients. Initiate and complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments. Deliver individual, group, and family therapies. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop therapeutic strategies and interventions. Help clients develop self‑respect, dignity, integrity, and self‑actualization through therapeutic services. Document services and disseminate reports to community referral sources and agencies (DJJ, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC, etc.). Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources for aftercare and supportive services to ensure successful discharge planning. Diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety and stability. Assess and intervene in suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse cases. Promote positive patient‑family‑community relations. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent master’s in a recognized health field. Licensed Graduate Social Work licensure required. One to three years of social work experience (inpatient setting preferred). Knowledge of psychological disorders and abnormal psychology related to adolescents and adults. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to ten pounds. Visual acuity to read, prepare, and analyze data on a computer terminal and documents. No significant exposure to adverse environmental conditions; typical office setting. Work Schedule & Compensation Monday through Friday. Pay range: $29.08 – $42.17 per hour. Classification: United States of America (Non‑Exempt) under FLSA.
