Energy and Power Discipline Leader

Job Description The Infrastructure Services Group is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader. This role supports federal, state, regional, and local clients to define and execute project opportunities in electrical resiliency, electrification, electric vehicle fleet charging, distributed energy resources, microgrids, battery technologies, and renewable energy. Key Responsibilities Lead and direct the development of analysis, evaluation, design, and processes for electric vehicle fleet adoption by clients and customers. Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support services nationwide (federal, state, municipal, transit, school, and commercial customers), including business modeling, financial planning, operational planning, program development, design, implementation, market trend advising, and opportunity quantification. Educate and provide intelligence to internal leaders and teams on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification. Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modeling, cost‑benefit analyses, and evaluation of incentives. Champion R&D initiatives related to green electrification and renewable energy to support emerging trends and client needs. Lead cross‑functional and multi‑disciplinary teams in developing and implementing complex strategic efforts. Serve as both a seller and a doer, helping clients navigate new areas while maintaining a strong grasp of mobility trends. Collaborate within a matrix structure and across practices to advance this evolving discipline. Collaborate with and mentor technical staff at varying levels. Engage researchers, academics, vendors, and stakeholders, including industry peers, system integrators, technology experts, and end‑use customers. Lead webinars and provide technical outreach to promote discipline goals and initiatives. Support Transformative Growth Areas related to power for data centers, clean energy and decarbonization, and municipal and campus‑scale grid modernization and reliability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 12 years of related experience. Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Domestic and/or international travel may be required, depending on job duties. Driving Requirements An appropriate and valid driver’s license is required. Preferred Qualifications Industry experience in the electric vehicle sector, including fleet electrification strategy, charging station implementation, or hydrogen/fuel cell expertise. Demonstrated passion for electric vehicles, climate mitigation, sustainability, and clean energy. Strong knowledge of transportation electrification policies, funding opportunities, trends, and industry challenges. Active involvement in relevant industry associations and committees. Strong project delivery skills. Experience leading complex projects with large coalitions or stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with exceptional public speaking ability. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a cross‑disciplinary audience. Experience managing junior staff to deliver projects on time.
