# 639 ROTA NANNY | SOHO, NYC

A warm, active, and highly organized family based in SoHo is seeking two experienced and dynamic ROTA Nannies to join their established household team and help care for their three children, ages 4 to 11. All three children attend school full-time in New York City and have active schedules that include after-school activities, sports, and other commitments. The family travels frequently and divides their time among several residences, including homes in New York City, Upstate New York, Idaho, and Turkey. The family currently employs a long-term nanny, along with a House Manager/Personal Assistant, Chef, and Housekeeper. The ROTA Nannies will work collaboratively with the existing team while taking ownership of the children’s care, schedules, organization, and day-to-day needs during their rotations. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced private-service nannies who are confident caring for multiple school-aged children, genuinely enjoy being active and on the go, and are equally comfortable taking initiative and working as part of a team.

SCHEDULE

The two ROTA Nannies will work an alternating 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. During each seven-day rotation, the nanny must have significant flexibility and be available for the family’s changing schedule, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, special events, and travel. The anticipated weekday schedule generally includes staggered shifts Wednesday through Friday, typically either: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Weekend coverage is typically from approximately 8:00 a.m. Saturday through 6:00 p.m. Sunday and includes an overnight. Exact hours and shift assignments will vary depending on the family’s schedule and will be coordinated among the childcare team. Flexibility is essential. The position also requires domestic and international travel with the family, including travel between their residences in New York City, Upstate New York, Idaho, and Turkey, as well as other family vacations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Childcare Provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for three children, ages 4 to 11 Manage the children’s daily routines, schedules, school commitments, activities, and appointments Assist with school drop-offs, pick-ups, activities, and transportation as needed Help with homework, school projects, and educational activities Coordinate playdates and age-appropriate activities Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children Maintain appropriate boundaries and provide calm, consistent guidance Encourage learning, independence, good manners, and age-appropriate responsibility Communicate with teachers, coaches, and other caregivers as appropriate Children’s Organization & Administration Maintain and coordinate the children’s calendars in collaboration with the family’s Executive Personal Assistant and childcare team Assist with school, camp, sports, activity, and appointment scheduling Complete or assist with school, camp, sports, and medical forms Help manage the children’s in-home visual calendar Research children’s activities, programs, supplies, and other needs as requested Order supplies and prepare materials for school projects and activities Assist with children’s personal shopping and packing for travel Child-Related Household Support Handle children’s laundry and maintain their bedrooms, play areas, closets, toys, and belongings Keep lunch boxes, children’s gear, car seats, and frequently used items clean and organized Monitor children’s food, toiletries, clothing, and supplies and communicate restocking needs to the House Manager Keep children’s spaces tidy and organized throughout the day Clean up after meals, activities, projects, and other messes created while caring for the children Assist with additional household organization or projects during school hours and other downtime

The ideal candidate is an experienced, highly capable private-service nanny who brings a calm, positive presence to a busy household. They should be confident taking charge of three children’s schedules and needs while also understanding how to work collaboratively and respectfully within an established household team. This family is looking for someone proactive, flexible, organized, and solutions-oriented who can anticipate what needs to be done without requiring significant direction. A low-ego, team-oriented approach is important, as is the ability to adapt gracefully when schedules or plans change. Candidates should genuinely enjoy working with children and be able to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment while maintaining appropriate structure and boundaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior professional nanny experience in a private household required Experience caring for multiple school-aged children strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus Current CPR/First Aid certification Strong understanding of child development Highly organized, proactive, and dependable Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and other household staff Confident using calendars, apps, and other technology Comfortable swimming and participating in children’s activities while traveling Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally Flexible and available for evenings, weekends, overnights, holidays, or other special events when needed Discreet and respectful of the family’s privacy Valid driver’s license and strong driving record preferred

COMPENSATION

An hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $130k–$175k/year depending on experience and credentials.
