Location: SoHo, Manhattan Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., with 50 guaranteed hours per week and flexibility for schedule shifts and additional hours Start Date: October 2026 Children: Two boys, ages 3.5 and 14 months Compensation: Approximately $38-40/hour gross, depending on experience and qualifications, with overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours per week. Guaranteed compensation for 50 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, approximately $109,000-$114,000 annually, with additional compensation for hours beyond the guaranteed schedule. Professional and involved parents in SoHo are seeking an experienced, engaging, and highly reliable full-time nanny for their two young boys. Their older son attends school from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while their younger son is home during the day. The family also employs a part-time nanny who provides support in the afternoons and early evenings. The family places a strong emphasis on early childhood development and seeks someone who is naturally engaged and communicative, encourages curiosity, and brings learning into everyday play. They also value candidates who genuinely enjoy cooking and are excited to plan and prepare fresh, healthy, varied meals for the children. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care for both children, creating a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. Support age-appropriate development through conversation, books, play, early literacy and numeracy, language-building activities, arts and crafts, and everyday experiences. Plan and lead active, engaging days with outings, classes, playdates, and walks, while balancing activities with the children’s routines and rest needs. Handle school and activity drop-offs and pick-ups; maintain consistent routines, appropriate boundaries, good manners, and respectful behavior. Take ownership of the children’s daily routines and logistics, anticipating needs, planning ahead, and proactively communicating with parents. Plan and prepare fresh, healthy, varied meals and snacks, including school lunches; introduce a range of foods and use appropriate downtime during naps for meal preparation. Handle children’s laundry; keep their bedrooms, play areas, toys, and belongings tidy and organized, including toy rotation. Prepare belongings for school, activities, outings, and travel, and keep children’s supplies stocked and organized. Assist with simple household tasks, such as unloading the dishwasher and light kitchen cleanup, when time permits and childcare responsibilities allow. Communicate openly with parents about the children’s days, routines, development, and needs, and coordinate with the part-time nanny to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent care.
