Our mission is to be the most sustainable producer and reliable supplier of consistent, high-quality fresh shell eggs and egg products in the country, demonstrating a Culture of Sustainability in everything we do and creating value for our shareholders, customers, team members, and communities./ppThe Long Distance Truck Driver position is responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with customers; driving tractor/trailer to deliver eggs to customers; hauling and backhauling cartons and supplies; helping load and unload trailer; maintaining log books; ensuring that tractor/trailer is road worthy and assisting with other duties as assigned./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliOperate semi-truck/tractor and trailer equipment./liliDaily inspections and housekeeping of equipment./liliFulfill all reporting and record-keeping requirements./liliFollow standards of quality as outlined by Cal-Maine and other manufacturing and regulatory controls./liliPerform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean working environment./liliAssist in maintenance of equipment./liliFollow all company and regulatory agency safety policies./liliComplete training and attend meetings/workshops/seminars/continuing education appropriate to the position, as assigned and approved by direct supervisor./liliPerform all other duties as assigned by direct supervisor./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliValid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required for this position./liliPass DOT physical./liliPossess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)./liliPossess a forklift certification if a forklift is used./liliAbility to operate semi-truck/tractor with trailer with minimum of one year experience/liliAbility to do minor maintenance on equipment is preferred./liliAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./liliAbility to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s./liliAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions./li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
