Registered Nurse, OR Circulator

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – OR Circulator to collaborate with surgical teams in providing safe, high-quality perioperative care. Key Responsibilities Include Advocating for patients before, during, and after surgery. Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient vital signs and conditions. Preparing the operating room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Verifying patient identity, surgical site, and documentation for procedures. Maintaining a sterile environment and assisting with patient positioning and safety. Monitoring patient status and communicating changes promptly. Documenting surgical procedures, medications, and supplies accurately. Assisting in postoperative care and ensuring proper transfer to recovery areas. Supporting infection control, safety standards, and participating in quality improvement activities. Qualifications Include Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current Illinois RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and perioperative procedures. Preferred experience in operating room or perioperative nursing. This role involves physical demands such as standing for extended periods, assisting with patient transfers, and working in environments with exposure to blood and infectious materials.
