Buchanan Auto Stores is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team in Waynesboro, PA. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy truck equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair heavy trucks and related equipment
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed
• Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements

• Proven experience as a heavy truck mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of heavy truck systems including engine, transmission, and braking
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
