Location: Chicago, hybrid (3 days a week in a downtown Chicago or north suburban office)

Role type: Full-time, direct hire

Pay: $130,000 to $200,000 base salary, based on experience

The firm serves businesses and individuals across assurance, tax, private client services, and advisory. Position summary This role leads tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and estates. You'll be a primary point of contact for clients, bringing proactive planning ideas, not just compliance. You'll work directly with partners and senior managers and help develop junior staff.

What you'll do

• Lead private client engagements and balance competing deadlines
• Review complex individual, gift, estate, and trust income tax returns
• Advise high-net-worth clients on tax planning and solutions
• Serve as a primary client contact and build long-term relationships
• Use technology to automate internal and client processes
• Mentor and develop junior team members

What you bring

• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience (7+ preferred)
• Expertise in individual, gift, estate, and trust income tax compliance
• Experience advising clients and explaining xhyhwjd technical issues clearly
• Strong engagement, team leadership, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• 1+ year in a senior manager role
• Experience improving processes with tax technology
