What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to pediatric and adult surgical patients
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and recovery status during post-op phases
• Support patients with procedural and surgical needs across multiple ORs
• Float to pediatric PACU as needed, supporting high-volume pediatric care
• Operate essential equipment like Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols, including Epic documentation

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana state nursing license or the ability to obtain
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications required
• Prior PACU, Pre/Post Op, or Critical Care Post Op experience highly preferred
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:2 in a dynamic environment
• Comfort floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

About the Assignment

You will work in a high-volume Post-Anesthesia Care Unit supporting both pediatric and adult patients undergoing major surgical procedures. The department handles a variety of cases in a busy hospital environment, including procedures in multiple ORs, with a focus on ensuring safe and comfortable recovery for all patients.
