Vice President of Risk

The client is seeking a Vice President of Risk Management to lead the enterprise-wide risk strategy. Reporting to senior legal leadership, this role will oversee corporate insurance programs, workers’ compensation, claims management, healthcare-related litigation, and patient advocacy, with responsibility for safeguarding organizational assets and supporting a strong culture of safety, transparency, and accountability. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned healthcare risk professional with a forward-thinking approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk across clinical, operational, and financial domains. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Vice President of Risk Management is expected to drive compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and advance risk practices that align with organizational mission and values. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, or risk management field or a related clinical, medical, or other discipline. Preference may be given to candidates with advanced degrees such as an MBA or JD, and the role typically requires at least 8 years in a comparable lead risk management position or related roles with increasing responsibility overseeing the structure and operation of an enterprise-wide risk management program.
