Data Engineer III (US)

Job Summary Location: Mount Laurel, New Jersey, United States. Hours: 40. Pay: $98,160 – $159,270 USD. Line of Business: Technology Solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data engineering solutions, including data modelling, profiling, acquisition, ingestion, ETL, metadata enrichment, provenance, and lineage. Lead complex technical tasks independently, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. Analyze business and technical requirements, develop detailed solutions, and iterate through coding, testing, debugging, and execution. Create, refine, and document engineering patterns; lead new pattern development when necessary. Provide subject‑matter expertise across multiple related domains and consult with peers and stakeholders on research, design, and support. Mentor and enable team members, share knowledge, and promote engineering best practices. Foster a positive, collaborative teamwork culture and communicate issues and progress effectively. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Degree or postgraduate degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; graduate degree preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or related field. Proficiency in SQL and Python. Strong understanding of data models and ability to create basic data models. Experience analyzing and performance‑tuning SQL queries. Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot database‑related issues. Hands‑on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Synapse Dedicated Pool, or Oracle. Experience in the Banking/Financial domain. Drive to support and advance Unity Catalog and Databricks Lakehouse initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Unity Catalog and Databricks Lakehouse ecosystems. Experience with metadata management and data lineage tools.
