Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for a variety of patient populations including ED border patients, acute mental health medication administration, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Facility has a total bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on Days and Evenings, and up to 6:1 on Nights
• Schedule includes Day/Evening rotation with EOW (every other weekend) requirement
• 1 to 3 Night shift rotations required per contract
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Travel RN required
• Telemetry monitoring experience preferred, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and strip interpretation across multiple hospital units
