Senior Accountant - Corporate

Senior Corporate AccountantAn experienced accountant performing assigned month-end accounting functions at an advanced level, quarterly-reviews, year-end audit requests, and special projects. Specifically, this role will focus on all functions related to salaries, wages and benefits as well as inflight and flight operations. The Senior Corporate Accountant will work heavily with all departments on expense activities throughout the Company.Essential FunctionsPrepare journal entries for month-end closing.Prepare and analyze monthly general ledger account reconciliations.Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytics.Document accounting processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.Other FunctionsAssist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit requests.Special projects/continual process improvementCompletion of technical accounting memos for routine or non-routine transactions as neededQualifications2-4 years of applicable previous accounting experienceBS in AccountingMS in Accounting or MBA preferredCertified Public Accountant, preferredMonth-end close experience"Big 4" experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAdvanced Excel spreadsheet skillsAbility to work well with other team members and other departmentsStrong organizational skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work under pressure & meet deadlinesAbility to work with strict confidentialityEquipment OperatedStandard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printerWork EnvironmentTypical office environment adequately heated and cooled.
