By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.The RolePalantir is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee significant portions of Palantir's Corporate Accounting team, develop and implement transformational improvements and quality initiatives across a growing Accounting & Finance organization. In this role you'll support senior accounting leadership by developing strategies that prioritize team development, scalability, and value creation. You will partner cross-functionally with key teams, build and maintain relationships, and collaborate to deliver results.Our ideal candidate will have a high degree of curiosity, initiative, and independence to hit the ground running, getting deep into work prepared by the team and identifying opportunities for improvement. We value problem solvers who are not satisfied with the status quo and who are energized by the chance to improve the efficiency or accuracy of existing processes.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport senior leadership by ensuring high-quality work produced by the team and by supporting one-off projects and initiatives.Improve the overall quality and speed of accounting work-product delivery.Build and leverage cross-functional relationships across the company to deliver greater value to Finance and other internal teams.Exercise sound judgement and ensure that accounting conclusions are documented in reconciliations and technical memos in accordance with current policies and guidance.Communicate and present complex topics to leadership in an accessible format while retaining the ability to work at a detailed level as needed.Identify, design, and implement technology-enabled process improvements, leveraging internal tools to automate workflows, improve data quality and visibility, strengthen controls, and enable the Accounting team to focus on higher-value work.What We ValueResourcefulness and the ability to solve problems, including non-traditional or undefined problems, creatively and analyticallyThe ability to calibrate a room of peers and stakeholders, achieve alignment, and pull levers to bring greater value to Accounting and other internal teams. Experience partnering with international functions and teams is a plus.Sound judgment and composure in high-pressure situations along with the ability to ground decisions in data to ask and answer questions that move the business forward, and demonstrate discretion and integrity in all interactions.Significant experience with accounting and finance systems, implementations, enhancements, and overall use of technology to scale the function.What We Require8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 4+ years of experience at a large international public accounting firm.CPA or equivalent certification is preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to maintain accuracy in work products and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.SalaryThe salary range for this position is estimated to be $140,000 - $200,000/year. Total compensation for this position may also include Restricted Stock units, sign-on bonus and other potential future incentives. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by each individual’s relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors.
