WellSpan is seeking a board certified/board eligible Family Physician to join our outpatient practice in the charming town of New Oxford, PA . Our practice is conveniently located minutes from historic Gettysburg and Hanover, PA and is an easy drive to Maryland or York, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities \n
\n
Essential Functions: \n

\n
• Maintains a private practice at a location(s) within the Medical Group.
\n
• Provides primary care family practice medical professional services to patients.
\n
• Provides in-hospital patient care and consultations as required.
\n

Common Expectations: \n

\n
• Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested.
\n
• Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
\n
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

• Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Minimum Education: \n

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
\n
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses: \n

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
\n
• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required and
\n
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
\n

Courses and Training: \n

\n
• Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required and
\n
• Completion of a Family Medicine residency. Upon Hire Required
\n

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \n
