What We’re Seeking:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience working as a sign language interpreter—especially within school environments
• Understanding of educational settings and student needs
• Familiarity with the role of supporting both teachers and students during lessons and activities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
• Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide real-time interpretation between students, teachers, and staff in classroom and school-related activities
• Accurately interpret lesson content, discussions, and materials to ensure students receive full access to the curriculum
• Work closely with classroom educators, school teams, and related service professionals to facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Participate in meetings, conferences, and parent communications as needed, interpreting both spoken English and American Sign Language
• Support teacher and administrative staff with the adaptation of resources, as needed, for accessibility
• Maintain detailed records of services provided in accordance with school guidelines
