CNC Machinist – Direct Hire | Full Benefits
NESCO is working with a growing manufacturing team looking to add a CNC Machinist to their operation. This is a direct hire opportunity offering stability, strong benefits, and hands-on work with both CNC and manual equipment.
Compensation: $54,080 annually (based on experience) + full benefits
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with tight tolerances, can read blueprints independently, and takes pride in producing quality parts.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, boring machines)
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Select tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Run CNC programs and ensure parts meet specifications
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality standards
- Make machine adjustments to correct issues and improve production
- Complete production records and inspection documentation
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report repair needs
- Follow safety guidelines and support lean manufacturing practices
What They’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of CNC machining or machine shop experience (or technical training)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Basic computer skills
Preferred:
- Trade school or technical training
- 3–5 years of machining experience
