Production Control Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
3 Month Project, Starting ASAP.
Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm OR 8am-4:30pm
Responsible for issuing production work instructions, monitoring execution progress, and ensuring production plans are completed on schedule to support customer delivery commitments. Identifies production gaps and issues, communicates risks to stakeholders, and supports timely corrective actions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Work Instructions
- Issue work instructions in accordance with weekly and daily production plans.
- Communicate production requirements clearly to manufacturing personnel.
- Support execution of production activities to achieve planned output targets.
-Production Progress Monitoring
-Monitor production progress against weekly and daily plans.
-Track attainment of production schedules and delivery requirements.
-Identify gaps between planned and actual production performance.
-Escalate delays, risks, and capacity issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Work Order and Instruction Follow-Up
-Review the status of issued work instructions and production orders.
-Verify completion of production activities.
-Close completed work orders and reissue or revise instructions when necessary.
-Maintain accurate production records and status updates.
-Communication and Issue Escalation
-Promptly report planning and execution issues when identified.
-Coordinate with production, planning, logistics, and related departments to resolve problems.
-Support continuous improvement of production execution and tracking processes.
KEY DECISIONS/DIMENSIONS:
-Prioritize and communicate production activities based on approved plans.
-Determine when production deviations require escalation.
-Assess execution status and identify risks impacting customer delivery performance.
-Coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
• Maintaining plan attainment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Quickly identifying and responding to production delays.
• Coordinating across multiple functions to resolve execution issues.
• Ensuring customer delivery requirements are met despite operational disruptions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production control, production scheduling, or a related area.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to monitor and follow up on production execution activities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify abnormalities and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Business-level English communication skills, both verbal and written.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
• General PC and business system knowledge.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, APS, or production planning systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS:
APICS/CPIM or related supply chain certification preferred.
