Sales Manager - Hydrography/Lidar - North America

The Western Region Sales Manager ensures the market share and revenue growth of Teledyne Geospatial (Optech and CARIS) business unit products and services. The role involves analyzing and addressing customer needs; developing and implementing sales plans; selling new systems, upgrades and related services to both end users and distributors within the assigned geographic sales territory.Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Establish an annual regional sales plan by working with the North American Sr Sales Manager. Achieve the defined order and revenue targets through the sale of Optech Lidar systems and CARIS software products and services.Work closely with the Sales Operations team to ensure they have the information they need to provide the necessary sales administration support.Acquire new client accounts directly through focused and well-structured prospecting activitiesDevelop new business with existing accounts directly through frequent on-site visits to explain value proposition for new capabilities.Perform accurate and regular forecasting for products and services, help to meet objectives defined through Key Performance Indicators, and keep management informed through regular activity reports and communication.Analyze customer requirements and develop strategic projects to bring to the management team.Make recommendations and convey market intelligence to improve company products.Respond to customer requests for quotations and proposals in a timely mannerCoordinate with Customer Service for technical issues and in-field problems to be addressed efficiently to ensure overall customer satisfaction.Coordinate with the Marketing and Product Management teams to ensure sales growth for new and existing product offerings. Help promote all company products and services to reach business unit targets.Assist Marketing in the preparation and distribution of promotional literature to execute on the annual marketing plan.Attend industry conferences and tradeshows, conduct promotional workshops, and deliver presentations to demonstrate functionality and establish product value.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Survey/Geomatics/Geography or related field.3 – 5 years direct sales experience or equivalent work experience in applied Lidar/Survey/Geomatics/Hydrography functions.Knowledge of CARIS or equivalent hydrographic related software is a mustKnowledge of business, marketing, sales processes and workflows.Excellent knowledge of Lidar, geomatics, hydrography, GIS.Excellent oral and written English communication skills and presentation skills; fluency in a language within the assigned geographic territory is an asset.Good negotiation, organizational, prioritization and planning skills.Customer oriented with knowledge and understanding of the business culture within the assigned geographic territory.Committed, team player, professional attitude and appearance, self-motivated with initiative to take action and ability to work effectively under pressure.Knowledge of Lidar and mobile mapping systems CRM experienceAbility to travel extensively on a frequent basis (25% to 40% of the time).Requirement for sales meeting/training visits throughout the year.Location of this role is open to anywhere in North AmericaCitizenship RequirementsDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "U.S. Person" (US citizens, US nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).Min SalaryUSD $63,368.00/Yr.Max SalaryUSD $142,622.00/Yr.Job SummaryRequisition ID: 2022-18985Company Name: Teledyne Optech USCitizenship/Visa Requirement: US Citizen/US National/Perm Resident/ Asylee/RefugeeInternal Code (for CareerBuilder): #CB#
