Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Med-Surg Registered Nurse
Location: Kansas City, MO
Pay Range: $30-42/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Medical-Surgical team at a top healthcare facility in Kansas City, MO. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to adult patients with a range of medical, surgical, cardiac, or neurologic conditions. Our diverse patient population offers a unique opportunity to continually broaden your clinical expertise. You will care for post-surgical patients, including those recovering from general, urology, and vascular surgeries. The unit also offers learning opportunities in monitoring within a Level I Trauma Center, caring for stable yet complex Med-Surg patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in line with established protocols and standards.
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes and utilize available resources effectively.
• Deliver direct patient care and oversee non-licensed staff within the RN scope of practice, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education, addressing emotional and cultural needs and incorporating them into all aspects of care.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as an Acute Care RN (experience does not need to be recent).
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or valid compact state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
