We are hiring immediately for a full-time Sanitation Team Member position at Thrive Freeze Dry, located at Ryan Rd & I-94, Oak Creek, WI. Job Summary The Production Team Member (Sanitation Technician) is essential to preparing our freeze‑dried consumable products. This role requires safe food practices, equipment cleaning, and cross‑training across processing, sorting, and packaging stages. Essential Duties Engage in all sanitation duties for the plant. Inspect equipment and work areas for compliance with federal and state sanitation laws. Clean equipment and maintain work areas, avoiding damage to the facility. Identify and report unsanitary practices or conditions to management and production personnel. Clean office and interior building areas as needed. Recommend equipment, layout, or practice changes to improve sanitation standards. Operate lifting equipment such as boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift for overhead cleaning. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Test cleaning chemicals for titration strength. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Operate and maintain hand tools for equipment setup, floor scrubbers, and buffers. Read and interpret documents, operation manuals, and communicate effectively. Use measuring tools such as tape measures, feeler gauges, and micrometers. Work Environment The job involves frequent temperature variations and requires unrestricted visual and audio abilities. Lifting up to 40 lbs. is required. Personal protective equipment is provided by Thrive Freeze Dry. Food Safety Requirements Prioritize food safety, quality, and sanitation by following Thrive Food’s policies and procedures. Hold self and others accountable to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Communicate food safety incidents or observations to leadership. Serve as backup to a lead in ensuring all food safety and quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met. Product Safety and Quality Adhere to Thrive Freeze Dry’s food safety, quality, and sanitation policies. Communicate product safety or quality incidents to leadership. Ensure Product Safety and Quality standards are followed. Follow GMP requirements for food contact packaging. Maintain compliance with Thrive’s food safety, product defense standards, and quality objectives under the SQF system.
