Location: Chicago Heights, IL, US, 60411 Segment: Operations Machine Operator The Machine Operator controls machinery to mold ice cream cakes in a safe, sanitary, cost‑effective, and efficient manner that meets company food safety and quality standards. And maximizes product quality and attractiveness through strong leadership to achieve individual outputs supporting the team’s production goals. The role also assists the Casting Lead in supervising molding cakes on the assigned line. Key Responsibilities Prepare casting materials and set up workstations. Ensure equipment operates to efficiency standards while producing a high‑quality ice‑cream product that meets company food safety and quality standards. Perform tasks as needed to ensure smooth process flow. Confirm the department follows safety practices and identify and correct potential hazards. Assist Lead as needed. Comply with GMP and food safety standards at all times. Other duties as assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or GED required. 1+ years of machine operator experience required. Basic computer skills including Excel and Word. Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day‑to‑day decision making. Punctual and reliable in work attendance. Ability to organize and communicate with all levels of personnel. Flexible and able to manage others. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Excellent English communication skills required; bilingual speaker a plus. Compensation Annual Range/Hourly Rate: $18.00‑$20.00 In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amounts may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
